Lincoln Electric Systems – EHS Management Success Story

For over 50 years, LES has been the provider of electric energy for many homes, businesses, and government properties that span approximately 200 square miles in and around the capital city of Lincoln, Nebraska.

LES partners with its community to maximize energy value by providing an adequate and reliable electric supply at the lowest possible cost.

Vector Solutions worked with Lincoln Electric System (LES) to create an online database of its safety procedures for detailed reporting and to foster a culture of effective management of worker safety.

The Challenge

With a devotion to promoting safety as one of its core values, Lincoln Electric System needed a way to effectively manage its safety program and ensure worker and customer safety.

LES was looking for a solution that would house, track, and manage their safety program, while also automating notifications of critical safety data to the proper personnel. Additionally, the software needed to be able to integrate with the Human Resource systems LES already had in place.

The Choice

Working with Vector Solutions, LES configured Vector EHS modules to allow them to easily track their most critical hazard and incident report forms. This assisted LES in being recognized by the National Safety Council, Nebraska as one of Nebraska’s Safest Companies.

The Solution

• Simplify reporting on key safety metrics, including Days, Away, Restricted, Transfer (DART) Rate, using custom reports.
• Maintain safety data in an online, centralized database that allows for quick data retrieval and analysis.
• Automate emails to alert proper team members when corrective action is needed.
