Duke University is a private research university located in Durham, North Carolina. Duke consists of over 16,000 students, about 2,500 academic staff, and 8,000 administrative staff.
The Situation
A local man had a warrant issued for his arrest after security cameras captured photos of him stealing a jacket and camera from a campus building. About a week later, three Duke employees spotted him on campus.
The Solution
The employees submitted tips on the Vector LiveSafe Mobile App reporting what the man was wearing and which direction he was headed in.
The Result
Police officers were quickly dispatched, found the thief, and took him into custody.
