My name’s Henry Ramsay. I’m organizational development manager for Brentwood Industries, a thermoforming company based in Reading, Pennsylvania with twelve sites around the world. At Brentwood, we had a number of challenges that we wanted to mitigate, through the implementation of an LMS.

One of those was primarily safety and compliance challenges. Another of those was maintaining ISO certification and some of the demands that those types of, certifications place on a manufacturing company. So we saw that as a unique opportunity to be able to train all of our people on those concepts, maintain records, track completions, and present something for third parties, when needed, to to prove, the qualification and awareness of our manufacturing team. We began the process by looking at what was available in the market and interviewing five companies, and at the end of the process, Vector was by far, the best LMS that we looked at during that process.

We probably spent a total of three months looking at different LMS solutions, and we’re totally impressed by what Vector did. Like every industry, everyone has their own vernacular. We speak our own language. We use, acronyms. We use abbreviations to cover some of the different things that we do in our business. So we could get an employee, accustomed to what kinds of language they would hear, what they would see. We could identify, different types of product defects with a terminology that’s unique to our industry and our product line. 

That was a great thing as an employee experience, as an employer. The ability to generate records, to run reports, to improve accountability, to make sure that managers and supervisors are having all their employees up to date and current on their training experience.

In the past, accountability was something that we lacked. We didn’t have that kind of maturity, and through LMS reporting, we could have a very comprehensive, set of accountabilities up and down the ladder, and, I can’t recommend their product high enough.
