This client is a private college in Virginia. It has an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students.
The Situation
One morning, the university received a threatening message. Local police were notified and a precautionary campus lockdown was instated. The university needed a means of quickly and effectively communicating lockdown procedures and providing community members with the ability to report suspicious activity on campus.
The Result
As the threat was investigated, the university utilized Vector LiveSafe's broadcast functionality to share relevant guidance and updates, including lockdown procedures and changes to police presence on campus, with community members. Employees and students were advised to report tips through Vector LiveSafe or to call Security if they had relevant information.
