Buildings account for 76% of all the electricity consumed in the U.S. With that much energy being consumed; there are certainly some opportunities for improvements in operational efficiency. In managing the energy consumption of a building there are two goals, one is to provide and maintain the comfort of the occupants, and one is to minimize the amount of energy, and therefore money, consumed in the process.
