Making a Difference Together: The Impact of Vector Solutions Training Courses on Bullying and Suicide Risk in High School Students

Vector Solutions conducted an exploratory study measuring the impact of two educational training courses on high school students’ attitudes, beliefs, and behavioral intentions. The two courses measured were our Bullying and Cyberbullying and Youth Suicide Risk courses which address the critical and sensitive topics of bullying and suicide risk.

Students indicated a greater likelihood to have prosocial attitudes and beliefs after exposure to a single course, but even greater pre-post gains after both courses were taken. In fact:

• 72% said that the Bullying and Cyberbullying course provided them with the skills to support someone who is being bullied.
• 70% said that the Youth Suicide Risk course provided them with skills to support someone who is struggling with thoughts of suicide.
